The Sales & Trading Group at McIntire begins with a recruitment process designed to identify students who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and initiative. Members then complete a comprehensive training curriculum featuring weekly educational sessions on market fundamentals, macroeconomics, equities, fixed income, derivatives, commodities, valuation, and recruiting preparation. The organization provides students with a structured pathway to careers in sales & trading, asset management, equity research, and other capital markets roles.

Curriculum

Technical Training Sessions

A structured curriculum of trainings builds the technical and industry knowledge members need to walk into recruiting, and eventually a desk, prepared.

Immersion

New York Trip

Members travel to New York to meet with executives and tour financial firms where they gather insight into each firm’s culture and day-to-day operations. The trip also includes a visit to the New York Stock Exchange, allowing members to experience the center of the global capital markets firsthand.

Industry Speaker Forums

Seasoned professionals join us throughout the year to share insight into industry roles, career paths, and how markets operate beyond the textbook.
